Slow Cooked Sausage Hotpot

Ingredients:

6 – 8 thin sausages
1 large or 2 small carrots
1 large onion
Honey
Slow Cook Sausage Hotpot recipe base

 

Method:

Press the Saute/Brown button on the Flavormaster and allow to heat
(if you prefer you can preheat a pan with canola oil spray and brown the sausages this way)

If you are using the Flavormaster to brown the sausages, then while waiting for the unit to heat, peel the carrots and either slice or dice (your preference).
Peel the onion and either slice, dice or cut into 8ths, whatever you prefer.

Once the Flavormaster is hot place the sausages into the inner pot and brown them evenly.
When they are brown all over remove the sausages from the inner pot and place on a cutting board. Cut the sausages either into halves or thirds.
Put them back into the Flavormaster with the carrot and onion.
Add 1 tablespoon maximum of honey and the slow cook recipe base.

Place the lid onto the Flavormaster and press the slow cook button.
Choose your preferred Sausage time, either 8 hours on Low or 4 hours on High.
If you like, 10 mins before it has finished cooking you can add 1 cup of peas.

Serve with mash and enjoy.
