Recipe for 2 – 4 Frenched Lamb Shanks
2 or 4 lamb shanks (Frenched)
1 or 2 carrots (peeled and cut into quarters or sliced thickly)
For 2 lamb shanks a small onion or if cooking 4 a larger onion (sliced)
400g can of diced tomatoes
140g tomato paste (1 tub of a 2 pack)

Press the Saute/Brown button and wait for the display to say Hot.
Place 2 lamb shanks in to the FlavorMaster and brown them evenly,
once the are browned evenly take them out and put aside.
(repeat this process for the second two if you are cooking 4 shanks).
Once browned place the lamb shanks then onion and carrots
into the inner pot, then add can of diced tomatoes and tomato paste.
Then add the Garlic & Herb recipe base and stir through to mix.
Place the lid onto the FlavorMaster (DO NOT SEAL THE UNIT)
Press the Slow Cook button and set the time to 8 hours.
1) If you are going to work and will be gone more than 8 hours use the
Delay Start feature, simply figure out what time you will be home, count back 8 hours
then set the delay start time for the difference between when you leave and the time
it needs to cook.
2) For a thick sauce remove the lid 20 mins before the end of cooking.
3) If you want some more vegies you can add a cup of peas to the mix 20 mins before the end of cooking.
Serve with mashed potatoe.
